Today we went to Buckland Abbey, the home of Sir Francis Drake. We looked around the abbey and it’s grounds. The children got a chance to dress up in Victorian clothes and were told all about Victorian sailors and shown the type of food that Sir Francis would have eaten by a Tour Guide . [...]

Today we went to plants galore and looked at herbs and fragrant plants like lavender. We explored the touch and feel of the plants as well as the smell. When we got home the children took it in turns to help Gary plant the plants we had bought in the front garden
