We decorated some biscuits today. We used chocolate sauce, cake decorations, sprinkles and chocolate chips. All the children loved it but I think they enjoyed eating the biscuits most.

We went to the zoo today and the weather was gorgeous. We had lunch there and saw lots of animals. The children took part in the close encounters and got to touch a tortoise and handle some Giant Land snails.

Today we set the castle up outside because the weather was good. The boys used their imagination to play knights, dragons and wizards.

Today we also had fun playing with rice – we looked at how it moved under different forces like dropping it, blowing it around, banging the tray it was on. We also drew pictures in it and made and identified shapes and patterns.

The children were very pleased today they got their certificates from the library for the book crawl. They have been sharing the stories over the past few weeks and got their certificates as a reward for their work.
