Home to home, a group I belong to had there sports day today for the children leaving childcare to start school. All the children took part and we had another good day. The weather was better today so we were able to do it outside, which was nice.

Today the toddler group organised a sports day. It was supposed to be outside but as usual the great British summer let us down. We still held the races in the hall and all the children enjoyed it.   We had good weather today so we got the sand pit out and had a lot of fun in the sand.

  The children played with rice today. They got to feel the texture and see how the rice moved when the tray it was on was hit and when it was dropped. They also made patterns with the rice.

  We talked today about balancing and weights and the boys played with “monkey business”, a game which works by balancing monkeys on a tree until the tree collapses, so you can’t put too many monkeys on one side as that would cause it to collapse.

Trio Childcare Solutions organised a teddy bears picnic but unfortunately the weather took a turn for the worse so we all held it indoors in a hotel on the hoe. Today we had a trip to the zoo. We saw lions and tigers and bears Oh My! The children had a great time and the weather held out for us.
