Today at story time we read Handas surprise. After the book we looked at the fruits from the story. The children were fascinated with the pineapple but didnt like the feel of it. We went to the zoo. The weather was bad again but the children didn’t care and we made the most of the visit. We saw lions, tigers, elephant, giraffe, gorilla, orangutan, rhino, zebra and baby flamingos out for a walk. When the weather got too bad we went into the soft play area and then [...]

Today I took the children to the zoo. It was raining but the children still enjoyed looking at the animals and splashing in puddles.

We played Greedy Gorilla today. The children had a lot of fun and all of the junk food counters were soon fed to the burping gorilla.

We looked at measurements today. We drew around the children’s feet and then used the templates to measure various things in the house. We then compared the measurements to see how many of each of the children’s foot sizes everything was. We also looked at a tape measure to see how long a “foot” was.
